By promoting the art and science of horticulture and using the most environmentally friendly products and services available, we help conserve and sustain your neighborhood. ArborScape stands behind all of its work. If your tree service does not meet your expectations call us immediately and the original estimator will solve it.

  • History

ArborScape is a family business owned by David Merriman. David started learning the arborist trade at the age of 10, working alongside his father in and around Greeley, Colo. He has studied horticulture at the University of Wyoming, Tarrant County Junior College, and Front Range Community College. Based in Denver, CO, ArborScape was founded in 1996 and has grown from a one truck operation.In 2013, we completed 7,979 tree care and landscape projects.

David MerrimanOperations Manager
I have been in the arboriculture field since the age of 10 starting in my father’s tree company. Projects managed include 3 square miles of tree removal for Army Corps of Engineers. I am a tree enthusiast who is a board member of the non-profit, Colorado Tree Coalition and a member of the ISA for two decades. When not working I like to ATV and spend time with my family
Jeff DislerEstimator/Plant Health Care Manager
If your tree is sick, I’m usually the man on the case. I earned a BS from CSU where I studied Pest Management and plant pathology while also working for a tree spraying company. I use my 25 years of accumulated knowledge in the plant health care and management industry to help solve difficult canopy issues.

I have over a decade of experience in tree trimming, plant health care and urban forestry. A Colorado native, I’ve been with Arborscape for two seasons and enjoy working for a large, but also locally owned tree company. I enjoy golf and spending time with family during my off-hours.

I am a dedicated and personable plant health care specialist focusing on tree spraying services such as general insect, IPS, mountain pine beetle and deep root fertilization. I became a qualified ArborJet applicator five years ago and am an expert at emerald ash borer control and identification. This is my tenth year with ArborScape.

ArborScape was great. They came to give me an estimate when they said they would. It was incredibly reasonable and they did the work in record time. I can’t remember the last time I was so pleased with a contractor. I called about 10 different companies before I found one that would chip up the branches and recycle the wood chips. All the other ones would only haul them to the dump, which is simply unconscionable to me. Several other companies wouldn’t even give me an estimate because the job was too small.

They are simply the best…better than Swingle or anyone else we ever used in the past. ArborScape removed an enormous cottonwood tree from our backyard, which was hanging over our neighbor’s fence and yard. They did this by scaling the tree and not by crane. The process was amazing and artful. They completed the removal quicker than estimated and didn’t drop anything on the neighbor’s side–a big worry for us. They also removed the stump and surface roots and trimmed all of our large trees. Their staff was friendly and professional and everyone in the office was responsive and great to deal with. I’ve recommended ArborScape to friends/family and everyone has been impressed and happy. I wouldn’t use any other company for this type of service.
